(A) Schedule. Employees of all units of government of the county with a regular scheduled work week of at least 40 hours may take a vacation with pay according to the following schedule:
Length of Consecutive, Active and Continuous Service to County
Days of Paid Vacation per Year
After 1 year (12 months)
5 working days
After 2 years (24 months)
10 working days
After 8 years
15 working days
After 20 years
20 working days

(B) Time limitations. No vacation with pay may be taken until 12 consecutive months of active and continuous service to the county have elapsed from the individual’s most recent employment date by the county. Days may not be accumulated or taken later than 12 months after the vacation days are earned.
