§ 72.06. OPERATION REQUIREMENTS.

  • The operation of the tractor mobile home rig will comply with the following.
    (A) The operation shall be under a valid permit in the possession of the driver of the tractor at the time of the movement.
    (B) The tractor mobile home rig shall be operated between the hours of 9:00 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. prevailing time in the county, except that no rig shall operate on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.
    (C) No tractor mobile home rig shall be operated in fog, or when the roads are covered by ice or snow.
    (D) When moving tractor mobile home rigs are more than 144 inches in width at the base, two flaggers shall be required, one in a vehicle preceding the tractor mobile home rig not less than 500 feet nor more than 1,000 feet, and the vehicle shall have a revolving yellow caution light operating on top thereof. The second flagger shall be in a similar vehicle spaced the same distance to the rear of the tractor mobile home rig, and the vehicle shall display red flags at the rear thereof.
    (E) The tractor mobile home rig shall be marked on front and rear with a sign reading “Oversize Load”. The sign must be at least 18 inches wide and at least six feet, but not over eight feet, long. The size of the letters shall be 12 inches, red on white background.
