§ 152.06. INSURANCE; SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.

  • Prior to the issuance of the structure moving permit, the contractor shall file with the Building Commissioner a certificate of insurance. The Building Commissioner may accept an insurance binder, temporarily, pending receipt of the certificate of insurance. When railroad protective insurance is required, the contractor shall furnish the Building Commissioner the original and a duplicate copy of the railroad’s protective insurance policies. In addition, the contractor shall provide the Building Commissioner with certificates of insurance, on forms satisfactory to the railroad, covering the contractor’s comprehensive general liability and comprehensive automobile liability insurance for transmittal to the railroad. The insurer shall be a company holding a certificate of authority issued by the Indiana State Insurance Commissioners to do business in the state. The certificate of insurance or insurance binder shall serve as evidence that the contractor has obtained insurance in accordance with the requirements of §§ 152.07 through 152.10.
